These are Leather Textures that I came up with about 4 years ago for my Desktop wallpaper. This has been my desktop wallpaper of choice for all of this time. It causes very little eyestrain even when viewed for long periods of time and it consists of only 3 colors. Since some of these textures are copies of the original
file that I Colorized using PaintShop Pro they retain most of the characteristics of the original. I would like to point out due to the grainy appearance of the texture that small text can be hard to see on these backgrounds at all display resolutions . This is particularly true if font smoothing, which comes with Plus!
is not installed on your system. This is not a problem on the desktop because all of the text in shortcuts are enclosed in a box with a single desktop wallpaper. For web page backgrounds I suggest that these textures be used where there is little or no text. Look for the Zip file on my Download page which contains
gif, jpg, and bmp formats of the textures.
